billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$42.1 billion, or 15.49% of the market's
turnover. There were 702 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.64 billion and HK$3.99 billion, or
11.03% and 9.47% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
29.93% and 25.65% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$3.12 billion and HK$3.03 billion of
short sales, accounting for 7.42% and 7.19% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 14.49% and 17.75% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$0.1, or 0.11%, to HK$93.72. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.04, or
0.16%, to HK$25.08. XIAOMI-W rose HK$0.55, or 0.95% to HK$58.2. TENCENT declined by HK$1,
or 0.18%, to HK$540.
