[ET Net News Agency, 7 March 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$383.17
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$55.89 billion, or 14.59% of the market's
turnover. There were 710 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.72 billion and HK$6.24 billion, or 12.01%
and 11.16% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
19.03% and 30.36% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$4.48 billion and HK$2.93 billion
of short sales, accounting for 8.02% and 5.24% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 31.86% and 11.73% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$0.8, or 0.57%, to HK$140. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.24, or 0.26%,
to HK$91.14. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.03, or 0.51% to HK$5.9. TENCENT declined by HK$10.5,
or 1.93%, to HK$533.5.
