[ET Net News Agency, 23 January 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$148.51 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$27.76 billion, or 18.69% of the
market's turnover. There were 663 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6 billion and HK$1.88 billion,
or 21.6% and 6.77% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 47.24% and 35.12% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.14 billion and HK$1.04
billion of short sales, accounting for 4.12% and 3.74% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 22.22% and 26.77% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.07, or 0.35%, to HK$19.9. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.08, or
0.11%, to HK$73.36. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.072, or 1.6% to HK$4.416. MEITUAN-W declined by
HK$1.4, or 0.92%, to HK$151.1.
