[ET Net News Agency, 29 July 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$173.04 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$29.04 billion, or 16.78% of the market's turnover. There were 810 short-selling stocks. XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.14 billion and HK$2.97 billion, or 14.25% and 10.23% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 46.4% and 34.12% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$2.25 billion and HK$1.3 billion of short sales, accounting for 7.74% and 4.49% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 24.56% and 16.28% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHYNIX closed down HK$9.78, or 25.72%, to HK$28.24. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.096, or 2.07%, to HK$4.74. XIAOMI-W rose HK$2.68, or 9.16% to HK$31.94. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.34, or 1.32%, to HK$26.14.
